The project was spawn by the news back in 2021 that Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GTT) announced plans to accelerate its rollout of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure which plans to target coverage of 75% of homes by 2024. According to the official, GTT has deployed FTTH to more than 25,000 households since September 2021. This will mean Fibre will be available in the areas we are planning to build a network in 2025.
We have seen a rapid expansion of the services the Government in Guyana is promoting in its infrastructure. And this is where we feel the need for better skills and better health can be helped through a better communications infrastructure.
Caerus have been involved in small deployments of used laptops and desktops for a number of years from small businesses and individuals in the community here in the UK and US. These have been donations we have directed to the local welfare offices, for those most in need. Now with the resources that Caerus has to develop and plan and deploy the next phase of the project we are confident we can move to really building a better brighter future with the Technology and skillsets Caerus has.
